Richard Pedone Northboro, Massachusetts Richard has had 25 years of hearing loss and 12 sets of different hearing aids. Now being treated at Mass Eye & Ear, Dick's condition is getting progressively worse. A hearing dog would help him to feel more comfortable in daily situations. The reason I want an assistance dog is because without hearing aids at night I cannot hear a 100db horn at two feet, neither can I hear fire alarms with multible 100db horn strobes. I would like my dog to alert me to a door knock, electric alarm, door bell, stove timer, fire/smoke alarm, and if my name is called. My life would become safer.
