NEADS World Class Service Dogs is a not for profit organization that trains and places service dogs for people with physical disabilities. Some dog training and all client classes take place at our center in Princeton, MA. NEADS places 50 to 60 dogs annually.
The Hawkins Canine Center Assistant Supervisor will oversee the daily operations of our state of the art kennel in Princeton, MA. Kennel occupancy is usually 14 to 20 dogs. The Assistant Supervisor will be responsible for coordinating a staff of 4 to 5 attendants. Working one specific weekend day will be required. The Assistant Supervisor will report to the Director of Training with weekly meetings and reviews.
Qualifications for the Assistant Supervisor position include 2 to 5 years experience in a kennel management position. A degree in Animal Care or Animal Science is appreciated but not necessary; however, equivalent experience is required. The Assistant Supervisor applicant should be comfortable with a hands on, team oriented environment with the ability to be flexible and successfully problem solve as necessary.
