Kacper Rodzik

My name is Kacper Rodzik and I am a 14 year old student in 8th grade. I was originally born in Poland and I came to United States with my family when I was 1 year old. After moving from South Boston, I have lived in Canton, MA for the past 11 years. My biggest hobby is learning about history. I read Wikipedia and the news about what is going on in politics around the world and then I love to talk to everyone I meet about it. If you are looking for an honest politician that represents people, I will be your guy in a few years. Besides that, I like to play baseball and soccer. It’s fun wearing the jerseys and being with my friends outside. I am proud that my soccer team won a gold medal in the Special Olympics state tournament!

But, I also have many challenges in my life every day. My mom told me that I was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy when I was 4 months old. The left side of my body is paralyzed, so it’s hard to use my hand for anything and I have to drag my foot. I go to physical and occupational therapy every week so that maybe I can get better. I also found out that I have Autism when I was 6 years old. Sometimes it’s hard for me to make new friends at school because I get very emotional and then I have trouble understanding social interactions, but I try my best. I know that a service dog would always be there for me no matter what. That would calm down when I get really overwhelmed. I hope that my furry friend could help me overcome some of these challenges so that I can live my life to the fullest potential.
