Boston’s Prudential Tower Shines Blue and Red for NEADS

December 17, 2017

On Saturday, December 16, NEADS staff, clients, and volunteers gathered at the Prudential Center to flip the switch to light up Boston as part of the annual 31 Nights of Light program. The top of Prudential Tower beamed red and blue in support of our World Class Service Dogs, many of whom were in attendance.

NEADS Service Dogs Jones and Shadow flipped the switch to turn on the lights, guided by their human partners Katelynne Steinke and Carolyn Barrett with the command “nudge”, a task generally reserved for operating elevator buttons and handicap levers. Tonight, the task was used to light up the night skies of Boston.
