We ask each of our accepted clients to support NEADS by raising $8,000. This contribution goes towards the operating costs involved in raising, training, and matching our unique and highly skilled dogs.

Fundraising FAQs

Each NEADS client commits to support NEADS by raising a minimum of $8,000 for the organization. We believe it is important for our clients to have a vested interest in the organization, as well as their individual dogs, and it is this philosophy that allows us to continue to provide our unique and highly trained Service Dogs to the people who need them the most.

NEADS makes fundraising easy by supporting our clients every step of the way. We provide a fundraising kit that has effective and efficient fundraising methods, and we assist in developing a realistic fundraising strategy to help each client achieve their goals. Many resources are available to clients as they fundraise for NEADS: including, a private Facebook group, monthly fundraising newsletters, and an online Client Resource Center. In addition, NEADS employs a full-time Supervisor of Client Fundraising to work directly with clients are they progress toward their fundraising goal.

The average cost of breeding, raising, training, and matching a NEADS dog is over $45,000. Clients do not pay a fee for their dogs, but instead, they work alongside NEADS staff to raise funds that will help support the organization. Clients are an important part of the NEADS fundraising team.
