Foundations for the Future - Veterinary Clinic & Early Learning Center

NEADS is pleased to announce the next phase of the Foundations for the Future initiative – a brand new veterinary clinic and surgical suite. This facility will also provide new quarters for the Laura J. Niles Early Learning Center (ELC).

WHY A VET CLINIC NOW?

  • Improved on-site care for our dogs: The new clinic means the majority of veterinary needs can be met right on campus, ensuring our dogs receive prompt, top-quality care in a familiar environment.
  • Enhanced ability to handle emergencies: Emergency situations like cesarean sections will be handled on-site. This eliminates the stress of transporting a dog in labor and the time pressure of finding an available off-site veterinarian.
  • Streamlined care for routine procedures: Procedures like spays and neuters, currently outsourced, will be done on campus, improving efficiency and reducing stress for our dogs.
  • Significant cost savings: Centralizing veterinary care means less reliance on outside providers, making a positive impact on our budget.

A REVITALIZED EARLY LEARNING CENTER

The ELC, essentially our puppy kindergarten, will get a major upgrade. This new, purpose-built space will provide the perfect environment for early socialization and exposure to a broad variety of new experiences that help them grow into calm, competent Service and Assistance Dogs.

SUPPORTING THE CLINIC

In addition to funding the construction of this vital facility, we are also seeking ongoing support to cover the operational costs of the clinic once it's up and running. Your continued generosity will ensure that our Service Dogs in training receive the exceptional level of care they deserve, setting them on a path for healthy and impactful lives as they go on to serve those in need.
