Ways to Give

Since 1976, NEADS® has been changing lives with our World Class Service Dogs. We thrive on the hard work and generosity of a vast network of dedicated donors and volunteers and are lucky to have supporters who are as passionate about our mission as we are. Here are a few ways you can help support our mission and make a huge difference in the lives of individuals with a disability.

Nate Photography,

Your support helps NEADS raise and train World Class Service Dogs and provide life-changing independence, companionship, and connection for people who are deaf or have a disability.

Join our Sustainers Circle with a monthly donation. Your monthly support will help NEADS continue to breed, raise, train, and match the very best Service Dogs possible.

Your support will help us create and maintain a state-of-the-art Breeding Center - the cornerstone of our Breeding Program and critical to the future stability and growth of our organization.

Name one of the newly arrived puppies and be kept up to date on their progress while they are in our program.

Include NEADS in your estate plans through a will, trust, retirement plan, life insurance policy, or life income gift to join the Kendrick Legacy Circle, named for the first NEADS Service Dog who paved the way for all others ... and whose legacy continues to lead the way.

Make a donation to NEADS and help a client reach their fundraising goal. Read their stories and make your donation here.

On Wednesday, May 8, 2013, NEADS announced that survivors of the Boston Marathon bombing who have sustained a permanent physical disability were to be offered Service Dogs through the creation of a new fund.

Run a race, host a bake/yard sale, or collect pennies for puppies. Raising funds for NEADS can be easy and fun for you, your family & friends, or your company.

Help us provide Service Dogs at no charge to those who honorably served our country.

Support our breeding program when you sponsor a NEADS litter.

The Dr. Dennis J. Ovitsky Veterinary Care Fund was established in Dr. Ovitsky’s memory by his family upon his passing in 2008 for the purpose of treating service dogs in our training program with severe or unusual medical conditions.*

Donate to this fund to help ensure that we can continue to provide prompt and effective medical treatment to our Service Dogs who need additional levels of care.

*On occasion dogs in our training program present with severe or unusual medical conditions, and NEADS uses this fund to treat and care for them. Once brought back to good health, these dogs are then adopted out as Furloughed Favorites.

Sponsor a Doggie Dorm

With a $3,500 tax-deductible donation to NEADS, you can sponsor a "doggie dorm" to help all the dogs who will reside in that dorm for the year. Your partnership will provide enrichment the pups need while in their doggie dorm—fun toys, peanut butter treats and Nylabones, to name a few.

Over the course of a year, approximately five dogs live in each doggie dorm while they learn customized skills that will eventually help their future human partner. By supporting multiple dogs in a dorm, you become an active and vital part of NEADS.

Please understand that not all dogs have the right temperament to be Service Dogs and those dogs are adopted out to loving homes. By sponsoring a dorm, you do not own or retain any ownership rights to our dogs. Funds donated to sponsor a dorm cannot be restricted for a specific client or Service Dog program (i.e., Hearing Dog, Service Dog, Dogs for Veterans dog).
