NEADS is committed to helping each client reach their fundraising goal. We employ many methods to make this happen, one of which is offering matching funds days solely to clients.

How to take full advantage…

Spread the word! All clients should post the match day flyer (provided by NEADS prior to each match day) to their fundraising pages. In addition, share your NEADS fundraising page to social media adding details to the post with the match date and time. Another option is to share the match day flyer itself to social media and paste in the link to your NEADS fundraising page. Clients who have had the most success on match days have taken the time to notify friends, family, and previous donors, of the opportunity using multiple avenues.

 

Timing matters…

Donations that are made before the start time, or after funds have run out, will not be matched. There can be no exceptions to this rule because that would mean taking matching funds away from other clients who brought donations in during the correct timeframe.

Let donors know how crucial it is for them to donate as close to start time as possible. Matching funds can last for several hours, or they can run out in several minutes.

 

The details…

Donations must be made through your NEADS fundraising page. This is the only way that NEADS is able to track the timestamps on the donations and we need those timestamps to be able to assign matches appropriately.

Keep in mind that the goal of a matching funds opportunity is to encourage donations to support the organization.  Donations will continue to come in after the match money has been exhausted, and that’s the way it should be.

 

Once funds run out…

NEADS will post in the Client Fundraising Facebook group once the full amount of matching funds have been used.  If you are not part of the group and would like to know when funds run out, please either join the group or contact me directly ([email protected]).

 

Important to note…

Matches are not posted in real time. After the full amount of matching funds has been exhausted, NEADS will add any matching funds that you received to your fundraising page.
