As the weather gets cooler, many clients look for indoor, event based fundraising options. There are so many good ones to choose from, but a favorite each year is holding a Paint Night.

If you’re not familiar with Paint Nights, they’re an evening of guided painting where you gather participants, and each person pays a set fee.  A portion of the proceeds goes toward a charitable organization. While these types of pf events usually focus on painting a picture, there are Paint Night businesses who offer other mediums. If you think your guests would prefer to paint a sign to hang in their home, make personalized trays, coasters, or charcuterie boards, among other options, just adjust your search for businesses that have those types of offerings.

Keep in mind that there are some Paint Night businesses who don’t support charitable causes. You’ll want to get that info. before moving forward, but you’ll find most do have a charitable option.

 

Step 1: Check your local area for Paint Night businesses. These events may be held at a specific location, or you may find that the Paint Night organizers will come to a location of your choosing.

Step 2: Make sure the Paint Night organizer knows that you are fundraising for NEADS. If any paperwork is needed to verify that, let me know and I’ll send it along. Also, find out how the organizer will send the funds to NEADS and ask how long that normally takes once the event is over.

Step 3: Spread the word! Let your friends and family know about your fundraiser. Invite the neighbors. Open it up to your entire community. You can scale your Paint Night based on what works best for you, and for the organizer that you’re working with. Some clients have had smaller Paint Night seasonally. That way you’re creating something seasonal for your home each time.

Step 4: Have a blast and take lots of pictures!

Paint Nights have brought in a good deal of donations over the years. They’re a fun way to have a night out with people you like, while doing something creative and enjoyable. Plus, many of them include snacks and drinks too!
