Back by popular demand, I just got another delivery of Edison365 tote bags, and I’m selling them to raise funds for NEADS (100% of the proceeds benefits NEADS), where Edison was trained. The totes fit lots of stuff and have a zipper top closer and a back zipper pocket.#day197of365

Edison loves his Treat Dispensing Chew Ball. During the hotter weather we tend to stay inside more so this gives him a way to have fun and keep his mind sharp! The “treats” that I put in are only his kibble dog food but he thinks they taste great! #day198of365

Edison’s favorite part.....getting a reward for the commands/tasks that he does for me. Positive reinforcement is key! I keep 3/4 cup of his kibble in a waist pouch to give to him throughout the day. If I don’t give it all to him during the day, I just add it to his dinner kibble meal. @neadsdogs instructs each client as to how much food to give their dog each day. #day199of365

Edison had a great time at a fundraiser benefiting @woofgangco, a non-profit organization that is focused on providing jobs for young people with disabilities while making high quality and handcrafted pet treats. Edison and I were the official greeters as we opened our home property to the public as part of the Westchester Garden Conservancy Open Days. The property was previously owned by Sara Stein who was (and still is) a well known gardener. She planted the property with mostly native plants to encourage the natural habitat. #day210of365

“Please Mom, no early morning photos. I’m still waking up!” Edison and I have our daily morning meeting on the bed. (He always has my permission first.) It’s the best part of my day. #day211of365

Did you know that Edison is trained with over 50 commands/tasks to assist me? This pic is from when I was in training with him at the NEADS campus. We were practicing the command “up” which is very helpful when I can’t reach something on a high surface. Such a good boy! And of course there’s that tail wag as he’s waiting for a reward.... #day212of365
