“Fetch cane!” is the command I tell Edison when my canes fall on the floor. He picks up each cane individually. It’s so helpful to me so I don’t have to reach to the floor to pick them up. #day107of365

It’s a little wet outside! Edison wants the sun to come out. I had to dry him off a bit. He’s always a happy boy but maybe not about the weather today. #day108of365

I haven’t been feeling great today so I’ve been resting. Edison is right by my side if I need anything. He slept with me on my bed with my permission. The best nurse I could ask for! #day109of365

Athough I always watch his calories, every so often I give Edison a treat just for being a good boy and not attached to any command/task. Tonight it was a dessert cookie from Woof Gang Co, a nonprofit organization that employs people with disabilities. (He sure loves the Peanut Butter Pupper Nutter Patties, starts drooling as soon as he hears the the bag rustling!) #day113of365

Edison loves when friends visit, especially the younger ones (ages 4 & 6) who come right down to his level and give him belly rubs! #day114of365

Meeting of the minds! Edison has a special way of connecting with people of all ages and abilities. All it takes is one look into his eyes he lures you right in. He is one of a kind! #day115of365

“Edison, visit!” He then gently rests his head on my lap. It’s so sweet and also great for times when I’m feeling stressed out and need some love and boy do I get a whole lot of love back from this guy! #day116of365

Edison and I are back at the NEADS campus. Edison is waiting for other people to arrive so he can have some doggie playmates! We are so excited to be here and so glad the rain has held off for the most part. #day117of365

Heading home via the the Boston commuter rail after an amazing weekend in Boston. I look down and Edison is perfectly comfortable. #day119of365

Three amigos! Twice a year, NEADS hosts a graduation for their newest Service Dog teams. It’s a fun time to congratulate others and socialize with the dogs in training. Side note: It took quite a while to get all three dogs to look at the camera! #day120of365
