Hi! Edison here! Sharing some exciting news with you. I just got the shipment of tote bags that I got made so you can now be part of the Edison365 tribe! Edison and I are super excited about being an Abilities Expo ambassador this weekend! We’re at the New Jersey Convention and Exhibition Center in Edison, New Jersey. It’s definitely something not to miss if you’re in the area. #day123of365

At the Abilities Expo I saw a friend who I haven’t seen in over 15 years! He is nonverbal but his smile says it all! He lit up when he met Edison for the first time. #day126of365

Thanks to Community Conscious for this beautiful photo! Edison and I were at the Abilities Expo this past weekend, and Scott came up to me and snapped the shot and within seconds it was on my phone via wifi. Technology is truly amazing! #day127of365

Edison did so well during his eye exam. This service is offered yearly and free of charge every May for Service Dogs. I am so thankful I have access to this specialty program - getting the highest quality veterinary care means he can work for me to the best of his ability and for the longest time possible.

Edison and I went to Harbor Point in Stamford and sat by the water while I ate my lunch. The weather has been quite rainy lately so it’s been great to have the sun back! Can you find Edison in the photo? #day129of365

Happy Mother’s Day to my amazing Mom! She has stuck with me through thick and thin, hardships and successes. No matter what, I know she will always be there for me. I love her so very much (my 4-legged helper does too!) Even with the dreary weather, you brighten up any day just by being with you! #day132of365

Edison makes friends wherever we go. Well, actually, through him, both of us make friends. This is how it goes: everyone we meet absolutely admires him and then they see me and we connect. The initial connection and conversation is not focused so much on my disability or my wheelchair, but more about who I am as a person. I feel so much more comfortable when I am with him. He’s much more than a physical helper! #day133of365
